Describe a time when you or someone you know had to overcome functional fixedness. How did you or they do it? Describe human factors issues where functional fixedness could be advantageous, and where it could be detrimental. How could you design around that detriment? After reading the GCU Statement on the Integration of Faith and Work, explain how an individual who has a Christian worldview might overcome functional fixedness? How might they approach a problem in a different way than someone who does not have a Christian worldview?

If not, would knowing the goal state beforehand have altered the way you addressed it?
